We have turned a corner in the pandemic, with cases and positivity rates declining throughout the state. As Michigan moves forward, with the presence of vaccines providing more hope that an end is in sight, Wayne State University will continue to observe current restrictions and precautions for the coming months.

Although our May commencement ceremonies will be conducted virtually, we plan to have an in-person commencement celebration in December 2021. For those who graduated during the pandemic and could not celebrate in person with their classmates, professors and families, we are planning a special in-person commencement ceremony for early April 2022. Please stay tuned for details.

We are optimistic that we will return to campus in the fall to resume many Wayne State traditions, including commencement.
